The blend for the 2018 Certan de May consists of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Its color is a medium to deep garnet-purple, showcasing aromas of black cherry compote, black raspberries, and plum preserves, along with hints of underbrush, Sichuan pepper, dried Provence herbs, and cedar chest.

Chateau Certan de May 2018 is a luxurious, fresh and juicy Bordeaux red wine. Sensuous, silky, plush and graceful. Medium-bodied, elegant, fresh and refined, the purity in the sweet, lifted red fruits, length and sensuous textures along with all the ripe red berries, chocolate, espresso, liquorice and earthy notes in the finish. One of the inkier coloured wines in the Moueix portfolio.
