Pavillon Rouge de Margaux

from €257.50

Château Margaux, an iconic name in Bordeaux, has a rich history dating back to the 12th century. Its wines' excellence was recognized in the 15th century, thanks to steward Berlon's vinification work. Thomas Jefferson, the future U.S. president and ambassador of France, was captivated by the wine in 1784. The estate was rebuilt in the 19th century and achieved the prestigious rank of Ier Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Owned by the Greek Mentzelopoulos Family since 1977, Château Margaux oversees a 82-hectare vineyard, producing mainly red wines. With a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, Château Margaux wines exemplify opulence, length, and refinement.
