The 2006 Pagos Viejos has an adjusted production, coupled with a careful elaboration and care. It has 95 points in the 2009 Parker Guide. And 96 points in the 2009 Peñín Guide. It is one of the red wines with the D.O. Rioja, made with 100% Tempranillo grapes from old strains with 75 years of age. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels. It has an intense cherry red colour. Intense aroma of red fruit, subtle creamy toasts, depth, elegance and balsamic notes. Silky mouth, slightly spicy, toasted together and balanced, long aftertaste.
